About The Ohio Corrosion Committee
Collaboration. Knowledge. Practical Solutions.
The Ohio Corrosion Committee brings corrosion professionals and infrastructure stakeholders together to share technical knowledge, review corrosion-related concerns, and address electrical interference issues throughout Ohio.
Through cooperation and information sharing, OCC helps participating organizations identify potential problems, coordinate field testing, exchange technical experience, and develop practical solutions that help protect critical infrastructure.
Working Together to Protect Ohio's Infrastructure
Corrosion control often involves more than a single company or facility. Pipelines, utilities, transportation systems, grounding systems, cathodic protection equipment, and other infrastructure can interact in ways that require communication and cooperation between multiple organizations.
The Ohio Corrosion Committee provides a central forum where these issues can be documented, reviewed, and discussed.
OCC members can submit cases involving suspected interference, rectifiers, cathodic protection systems, or other corrosion-related concerns. Those cases can then be reviewed by participating organizations so testing, communication, and follow-up can be coordinated when necessary.

Our Purpose
OCC supports cooperation, technical exchange, and practical problem-solving among organizations responsible for protecting Ohio’s infrastructure.
01
Protect Infrastructure
Support effective corrosion control practices and help identify conditions that may affect pipelines, utilities, transportation systems, and other infrastructure throughout Ohio.
02
Share Technical Knowledge
Provide a forum where corrosion professionals can exchange technical information, field experience, observations, and practical solutions.
03
Encourage Cooperation
Bring affected organizations together so interference and corrosion-related concerns can be investigated, tested, and addressed efficiently.
How OCC Works
OCC provides a structured process for documenting corrosion-related concerns, sharing information, and coordinating follow-up among affected organizations.
01
Submit a Case
Organizations can report suspected interference, rectifier issues, cathodic protection concerns, or other corrosion-related problems through the OCC case submission system.
02
Review & Collaborate
Participating organizations review the case information, share technical input, and coordinate testing or additional investigation when needed.
03
Meet & Resolve
Cases can be discussed during OCC meetings so findings, next steps, and follow-up actions can be coordinated among the organizations involved.
